Feathers are very important in the Native American community. We give and receive feathers from each other and from our feathered brothers.
We use these feathers in ceremonies and as part of our regalia. In order to protect the quills of the feathers, we will sometimes bead on them.
The easiest beading technique for a quill is peyote stitch.
In honor of our Vietnam Veterans, I have designed this special Quill.
This one-page pattern includes a full-color easy-to-read beading chart, suggested delica bead colors with bead counts, instructions to help you prepare the quill of the feather for beading, and a full-color photograph of the finished quill.
