Stained Glass Roses Barrette

Roses have been cultivated for over 5,000 years. They have been prized for the beautiful fragrance and vivid colors. They have had medicinal uses and been used as currency. And they are also used to convey unspoken messages. The message varies depending on the color or color(s) given.

The Stained Glass Rose motif on this barrette is done in shades of pink which signifies thanksfulness. The barrette can be done with or without the fringe.

The two-page pattern features
  • a full color graph-style beading chart for the barrette
  • a color key with suggested delica bead colors and bead counts
  • a full color photo of the barrette with and without fringe
  • a full color graph-style beading chart for the tube bead used in the fringe.
  • a color key for the tube bead
  • instructions for the mock-peyote fringe in diagram and written form.
  • a color key with suggested delica bead colors and counts and bicone crystal counts

(The pattern does not include stitch instructions or instructions on finishing the barrette. If you need help making your beadwork into a barrette, check out my How to Finish A Beaded Barrette Tutorial, also available on this site)
