| Heart Card Case Pattern by Bethel's Wild Wonderings Direct Download! (Pdf, 1 MB) |
This is a pattern to bead a case for standard playing cards (2 1/2" X 3 1/2"). The design on this case is a gorgeous heart design on the front and a spade design on the back of the case. The background design is made up of spirals in 2 colors of white that makes me think of lace. The photos are of the finished case that I made using this pattern.
The case body is beaded in tubular peyote stitch. The bottom of the case and the top flap are beaded in flat peyote stitch and zipped onto the completed tube which will then form a rectangular box. This box fits a deck of cards without the card stock box that cards come in.
I have included the charts needed to create the case using either of 3 common methods. For color chart users, are a large color chart for each piece. For those who prefer to bead around the pattern tube, are a smaller color chart and instructions to print and copy to bead size to wrap around a tube and bead. For word chart beaders, are word charts for each piece. To help you print out only the pages you will use, I have included an index page.
I wish to thank Suzanne Cooper (suzannecopper.com) for graciously licensing me to use her heart design on this card case. The heart design is one of several lovely designs in her "Hearts" design package.
