| Legend says that the Cherokee Rose was given to the Cherokee people to help strenghten them to endure the "Trail of Tears" in 1838. The flower is beautifully delicate and very symbolic. If you would like to learn more, check out the extra information on my pattern.
This beaded band was inspired by the strength and stamina of the beautiful Cherokee rose. It can be used as either a soft bracelet or a beaded cuff.

| The sighting of the Morning Star heralds the beginning of a new day. It is said among the Native American people, that if you see the morning star, creator has given you another day to live and you will not die during that day. The Morning Star symbol is so special to the people that when a young man goes up the hill to seek his vision, he will wrap himself in a Morning Star Quilt.
This 5-colored beaded band was inspired by the colors and designs in my sons dance regalia.

| "It is always darkest before the dawn" is a proverb that I have found the be true. Right before the sun breaks over the horizon, the sky is a dark grey-black color. Then, sun shines its light over the horizon bathing the sky and earth with its warm rays of red and yellow. This cuff reminds me of that wonderful moment of hope as a new day, with all its possibilities, breaks.
This cuff, as shown, is designed to be worked with "irregular" 11/0 glass seed beads. The pattern could also be used with Delica seed beads, however, the finished measurements would be different.
