Bracelets and Cuffs:
FD Maltese Cross with Helmet and Fire Hydrant Cuff Bracelet
FD Maltese Cross with Helmet and Fire Hydrant Cuff Bracelet by Grandma Marilyn's Direct Download! (Pdf, 157 kB)
Back in February 2012, my Bead Angel, Ellen Roskoff, asked me to design a cuff bracelet for her with the Fire Department Maltese Cross.  She had a few items that she thought would go good with them.  In the case of this cuff bracelet, I incorporated the Fireman's helmet and a fire hydrant.

Ellen sent me this picture today and I think she did a wonderful job on this cuff bracelet.  She has a few more to bead up and they will be showing up as she tests the patterns for me.

Inguz Viking Rune Loom Bracelet

Inguz Viking Rune Loom Bracelet by Grandma Marilyn's Direct Download! (Pdf, 235 kB)
This bracelet was a special request from a very special friend. She gave me a design to use and told me the colors that she wanted. I worked on 3 different versions and this is the one she chose.

The design that she asked me to create was the Inguz. This is a Viking Rune. It is of great power. When you receive it, it means that you now have the strength to see completion, resolution, and thus a new beginning. Another way of putting it is "Where there is a will, there is a way".

This pattern has alphabetic characters for the bead color to make the word chart easier to read.

On the pattern pages, I have provided you with:

Goddess of Hunt Filet Loom Bracelet
More Images
Goddess of Hunt Filet Loom Bracelet by Grandma Marilyn's Direct Download! (Pdf, 199 kB)
I was looking through my public domain magazines at the various filet crochet patterns to use for loomed bracelet patterns. I found this one from 1900.  I am very facinated with some of the designs that they had back then.

The pattern shows a hunter with a spear, the Goddess of the Hunt and a running deer.

Keeping in the style of filet crochet, I had created this with a solid purple background and the images are in white.  Of course, you can use colors that appeal to you.  I was creating this for a friend and her favorite color just happened to be purple.

Once you have your loomwork done, you will need to decide whether you want to add a clasp and make it a normal bracelet or put it on an aluminum cuff bracelet blank.  This would also make a wonderful bookmark.

I decided on the cuff bracelet blank.  I used Beth's Tutorial to make my bracelet and it was really a good tutorial.

If you make the bracelet, I gave you instructions on how to increase the size of the pattern to fit any size wrist you want.  You might want to put beads (ie, picot or brick stitch) around the outside edge to hide the warp threads on the sides.

This pattern has alphabetic characters for the bead color to make the word chart easier to read.

On the pattern pages, I have provided you with:
  • segmented blown up views of bracelet graphs for an easy read
