The Medicine Wheel is also know as the Sacred Hoop.  It represents the sacred circle of life, the four cardinal directions to the Native Americans.  It is also a symbol of balance and symmetry.  When you build a Medicine Wheel, take the time to examine your life.  If something is out of balance, now is a great time to focus on that area and make any changes.

The back of the bag features a Turtle Totem, seen by many tribes as a symbol of creation and longevity.

This pattern features a Turtle motif. Turtle medicine can be very helpful to call upon. It reminds us to slow down and look where we are.
