Deer Tracks Lighter Cover
Deer Tracks Lighter Cover Direct Download! (Pdf, 254 kB)
Animals come to us to bring messages. If you are visited by a White-Tailed Deer, you may be entering into a time of plenty. But the path to get there may be filled with great sacrifice.

The Deer is a messenger of serenity. It urges us to maintain our innocence so that we can share our open-heartedness with others. The Deer is a keen observer. It can be see between the shadows and hear what is not being said.

This lighter cover features the footprint of a deer in a rosy-brown color surrounder by a delicate motif in leafy green, matte cream and rosy brown. I chose these colors because I have recently been visited by a deer and these are the colors that I remember from the encounter.

Coronado Lighter Cover

Coronado Lighter Cover Direct Download! (Pdf, 327 kB)
The Spanish explorer Francisco Vazquez de Coronado explored the South Western part of the United States in a search for Cibola, the legendary city of gold. He never found it, but what he did find was magnificent — the Grand Canyon.

As you search for the treasure in your life, take along this south-west inspired beaded lighter cover. I chose to use delica beads in shades of turquoise, terre cotta, cream and wrought iron, but you can change the colors to suite your tastes.

The panel also stands alone and would make an wonderful south-west style amulet bag.

This south-western inspired design was inspired by my recent stay at a resort with the same theme. The beaded cover can be made flat in either peyote or brick stitch and zipped up the back. The bottom is finished with a simple netting technique.

On the pattern pages, I have provided you with:
  • a full-color graph-style beading chart for the cover
  • a color key with suggested delica bead colors and bead counts
  • step-by-step instructions to finish the bottom of the cover with the netting technique
  • a Word Chart to create the cover in Brick Stitch
  • color photos of the front and back of the finished lighter cover as well as the flat panel before it is wrapped around the lighter

Infinity -- A Hummingbird Lighter Cover
Infinity -- A Hummingbird Lighter Cover Direct Download! (Pdf, 194 kB)
Hummingbirds are different from other birds who gain their power for flight from the downstroke of their wings. Hummingbirds find a large amount of power in the upstroke as well. They flap their wings 50 times per second in the pattern of an infinity symbol. These seemingly tireless birds symbolize eternity, continuity and infinity.

The Lighter Cover design features a native american symbol for a hummingbird that closely resembles an infinity symbol. The flower symbol along the bottom edge of the cover represents Honeysuckle -- one of the Hummingbirds favorite flowers. And the design on the top edge is a native american symbol for a star flower.

This two page pattern features a full color graph-style beading chart for the cover which can be done in either peyote or brick stitch. It also has a color chart with suggested delica bead colors and bead counts, and a color photo of the finished cover.

Instructions for completing the bottom netting are included in text and graphic form. The optional fringe pattern is presented in chart form with a color key which includes suggested bead colors and counts.

The finished lighter cover fits a standard Bic Style lighter.

Wolf Tracks Lighter Cover

Wolf is the pathfinder and the forerunner of new ideas. Wolves mate for life and are fiercely loyal to family, friends and ideas.

I am a Wolf person (as my native name will tell you).

That is why I love this lighter cover. It features the paw print of a wolf with a moon-shaped shield behind it. To a wolf-person, the moon is a powerful ally. When a wolf howls at the moon, it is thought to be expressing its desire to connect with new ideas and wisdom.

Geckos are often found resting in the shadows or skittering in and out of bushes. Because they seem to be between light and darkness, they are often referred to as Dream Walkers.

Dreams are important to humans as they reveal messages that we hide deep in our minds. Gecko medicine can help us reveal these messages. The Gecko helps us look within to analyze our present reality, then more forward confidently into a world of new beginnings.
