| "It is always darkest before the dawn" is a proverb that I have found the be true. Right before the sun breaks over the horizon, the sky is a dark grey-black color. Then, sun shines its light over the horizon bathing the sky and earth with its warm rays of red and yellow. This cuff reminds me of that wonderful moment of hope as a new day, with all its possibilities, breaks.
This cuff, as shown, is designed to be worked with "irregular" 11/0 glass seed beads. The pattern could also be used with Delica seed beads, however, the finished measurements would be different.

| This piece is inspired by a design that I saw on a recent trip. Color has great symbolism to the Native American People. To the Lakota, Red represents all that is sacred, especially the earth. Blue is the color of the heavens. This strip uses both colors in almost equal measure, that is why I named it "Unity"
The beadwork band measures 1.25 inches wide x 7.5 inches long. I have attached the sample to a piece of leather to make it more appealing to the guys in our lives.
Instructions to help you attach your piece to leather are also included.

| The Bear spirit is the keeper of the west. In the stars in the heavens, we see the Great Bear in the sky. Ursa Major is a sign of the greatness and infinity of bear wisdom.
This is a great piece for the guys in your life. The Peyote/Brick stitch band measures 1.25 inches wide x 7.25 inches long, but the overall finished length is determined by the strip of leather that you choose to mount the beadwork. | The sighting of the Morning Star heralds the beginning of a new day. It is said among the Native American people, that if you see the morning star, creator has given you another day to live and you will not die during that day. The Morning Star symbol is so special to the people that when a young man goes up the hill to seek his vision, he will wrap himself in a Morning Star Quilt.
This 5-colored beaded band was inspired by the colors and designs in my sons dance regalia.
