I found another filet crochet pattern from that I fell in love with. This one is from 1858 and has a St Patrick's Day theme. This one came from an hour-glass candle stand pattern. I picked out the components I loved and incorporated it into this lovely cuff bracelet in Gold and Green.  This pattern has a four leaf clover in the middle and scrolls on each end.

Rubber Ducky Pen Wrap
Rubber Ducky Pen Wrap Instant Access!
Back in 2010, I saw an image of a rubber duck floating on some water. I thought this would make a cute accessory set so I made a note of it. I came up with this little duck to put on my Rubber Ducky Accessory set.

On this pen wrap, you will find 4 little rubber duckies floating on a lake of light blue in the background. They have an almost 3d look to them.

You can make a wardrobe of these wraps as the Pilot G-2 pen is refillable and the wraps can be changed out for a different style or to match any wardrobe. All you have to do is bead the panel, zip it up, open the pen, and slide the cover right on.

This pen wrap will also fit a 10mm secret compartment keychain with or without the whistle. So if you want to give someone a special gift, this wrap would be perfect.

Everyone has liked my Northern Cardinal bead patterns so much, I decided to see what else I could come up with. I was aiming for a pair of earrings but this pattern came out a little larger so decided it would make a beautiful pendant. Put it on a beautiful chain or bead up a chain for it to dangle from. Either way, it will be lovely.

Northern Cardinal Double Light Switch Plate Instant Access!
I have really gone out of my comfort zone with this bead pattern. A customer asked for a switch plate cover with my Northern Cardinals on it. When I designed the single switch plate cover, I could only get one of them on it. So I decided to challenge myself and see if I could do a double switch plate cover with two Northern Cardinals on it. I did it and was so excited.

The male cardinal is a wonderful rich red with a black face and even though the female has a little red, they have more brown than red. These beautiful birds do not migrate and look gorgeous with a snowy background.

Pansy 2 Drop Peyote Cuff Bracelet Instant Access!
I sat down today wanting to create something. I was looking through my public domain images trying to get an idea. As soon as I saw a greeting card with pansies, I knew what I wanted to create. This pansy bracelet is the result of this idea.

Pansies are a hybrid that was bred for a flower garden plant. Even though it is sometimes confused with the Violet, it can be distinguished from the violet because it has 4 petals facing up and 2 petals facing down. Pansies can be found in a variety of colors to include yellow, gold, orange, purple, violet, red, white, and very dark purple. I always thought that they looked like little faces on the flowers. I have loved Pansies for as long as I can remember.

This pattern was tested by my Bead Angel, Terri Ettling-Shell. With a little trial and error that she helped me with, we came up with this wonderful bracelet.

Bear Paw Print Lighter Cover-Big Instant Access!
When my Bead Angel, Jan Hebert-Parmente, was beading up this bead pattern for the paw print series, she said it made her think of a bear paw print. Upon looking at it further, I realized she was right so this series is now called the Bear Paw Print. There are only two patterns beaded up right now. This big lighter cover and an amulet bag panel.

The bear totem stands for strength, confidence, a warrior spirit and the courage to fight. It also stands for taking action or taking leadership. The bear totem also stands for healing of yourself and others. This healing can be in the form of emotional, physical or spiritual needs. There are other meanings for this totem with the Greeks, Romans and the Celts; but they are all basically the same.

Baby Foot Print Earrings
Baby Foot Print Earrings Instant Access!
Back in October 2010, Robin Wenwick asked the designers of Bead Patterns Boutique if we had an earring pattern with a baby foot, with an initial in the center. We all searched around trying to find a pattern for her but none would fit the bill. So I set down and came up with this pair of baby feet earrings.

This pattern has the colors for pink for a little girl.  I have added suggestions for the blue colors to make it for a little boy.  If someone beads up a blue pair, I would love to get pictures so I could add it to this listing.

Robin beaded up the earrings and said they were exactly what she was looking for. She says the toes even wiggle. LOL

Path to the Pyramid Fringe Earrings-NA Instant Access!
I created the crosses (original name) fringe earrings in an art deco style with black crosses in the middle of a geometric design of black and white on a beautiful capri blue background.  When talking with my Bead Angel, Ellen Roskopp, about beading these fringe earrings, she said she though it would look lovely in Native American colors.  I came up with this color combination.

Also while talking to Ellen about beading up these earrings, she stated that she didn't like the name as she didn't feel it fit.  So I had a name this pattern contest and Mary Miller suggested the name "Path to the Pyramid".  There was another name that I thought of picking but I sat and stared at the pattern and felt that Mary had picked the perfect name.

My Bead Angel, Sandra Cheney, ended up beading up these beauties.  Didn't they come out gorgeous?

Filet Rose Pen Wrap

Filet Rose Pen Wrap Instant Access!
I so love filet crochet designs from the early 1900s. I found some with various types of roses and wanted one of the roses for my bead patterns. I started out with a loom bracelet in black and white. Then added color to the loomed pattern. Then I created a color peyote cuff. Of course, the next step was an accessory set.

This beautiful Filet Rose Pen Wrap has two beautiful roses to wrap around your Pilot G-2 pen. With the black background, the colors just pop.

This beautiful pen wrap was tested by my Bead Angel, Joan Maxwell. I love the way it turned out.

Northern Cardinal Lighter Cover-Big Instant Access!
I really do love to watch the cardinals when they are feeding in our yard. They are so pretty. Plus my Dad loves the St Louis Cardinals Baseball team. This would be a wonderful gift for your special friend or yourself.

The Northern Cardinals don't tend to migrate from where they are. They are so beautiful if you see them in the snow as I did up when I lived in Illinois. The male is a bright red with a black face. The females tend to be a dull brown with some red. Beautiful birds to watch.

My Bead Angel, Ellen Roskopp, beaded this beautiful lighter cover that will fit a BIC big lighter. She carried on the blue background from the pen.

Northern Cardinal Pen Wrap Instant Access!
I have always loved how beautiful the male cardinals have looked. My dad's favorite baseball team is the Cardinals. So what would be more natural than for me to make a pen wrap with a cardinal on it. I really should bead up one of these for him. LOL

The male cardinal is a wonderful rich red with a black face and even though the female has a little red, they have more brown than red. These beautiful birds do not migrate and look gorgeous with a snowy background.

This beautiful pen wrap with a Northern Cardinal was beaded up by two of my Bead Angels. My Bead Angel, Llyweyn Friars, who went on to become a bead pattern designer in her own right, beaded up the Northern Cardinal with the white background back in 2010 and placed it on a green pen. Then, my Bead Angel, Ellen Roskopp, beaded it up with both a white and blue background. They both did a wonderful job on the pen wraps.

You can make a wardrobe of these wraps as the Pilot G-2 pen is refillable and the wraps can be changed out for a different style or to match any wardrobe. All you have to do is bead the panel, zip it up, open the pen, and slide the cover right on.

White Slider With Crystals Pendant
White Slider With Crystals Pendant Instant Access!
I joined the San Antonio Bead Society and the first project I was able to work on was called Project Prom. We were to make jewelry for the foster teens to wear to the prom. I decided to make a spiral necklace and wanted a slider for it. This is the slider I came up with. This slider is done in odd count peyote.

The slider came out really beautiful in shining white with 5 jet black Swarovski crystals. I was so excited getting it done to give to the project that I forgot to take measurements. I think the measurements below are accurate. If not, and you bead up this beauty, please let me know the correct measurements.

If you get the pattern with the word chart, you will receive instructions with pictures on how to insert the crystals into the slider.

I was looking through some pictures to get inspiration. I saw a gothic cross and just had to have it for one of my patterns. I decided to try it out on a pen wrap.

The first version I designed was with a white background. This has not been beaded up yet.

Ellen Roskopp, my Bead Angel, asked if she could do this pattern with a purple background and a gold cross. I told her sure and that is how this combination came about. She did a great job on the pen wrap.

Rainbow Maze Pen Wrap
Rainbow Maze Pen Wrap Instant Access!
I was looking through some filet crochet patterns from the early 1900s and came across this design.  I thought it looked really cool in black and white but then started seeing it in a rainbow of colors.  I just had to do something with that pattern.  The first creation was a loom bracelet.  Later on, I was looking at the pattern and could just see it on one of my accessory sets.  This is where the pen came into being.

You can make a wardrobe of these wraps as the Pilot G-2 pen is refillable and the wraps can be changed out for a different style or to match any wardrobe. All you have to do is bead the panel, zip it up, open the pen, and slide the cover right on.

Mistletoe Mini Lighter Cover

Mistletoe Mini Lighter Cover Instant Access!
Mistletoe has been in folklore and mythology since the 13th century.  In mythology, it stood for the devine male essence.  Then when Christianity came to Europe, both the mythological and Christian meanings were mixed.  This is where the practice of a couple standing under the mistletoe around Christmas time had to kiss.  The very first time this happened, which is documented, was the 16th century.

Here is a lovely mistletoe cover for a mini Bic lighter. This one would be easy to carry around in your pocket or purse.

Remember that lighters are not only to light cigarettes or smoking products. You can use it to burn off the little edges of the thread that stick out of your lovely beading.

Cherokee Rose Business Card Sleeve Instant Access!
This business card sleeve was created from a pattern my Bead Angel, Pat Tipton aka Mama Hen, had originally created. She asked me to make some patterns using her design. I think this came out just gorgeous.

This pattern was beaded up by my Bead Angel, Sandra Cheney.

Legend of the Cherokee Rose
When the Trail of Tears started in 1838, the mothers of the Cherokee were grieving and crying so much, they were unable to help their children survive the journey. The elders prayed for a sign that would lift the mother’s spirits to give them strength. The next day a beautiful rose began to grow where each of the mother’s tears fell. The rose is white for their tears; a gold center represents the gold taken from Cherokee lands, and seven leaves on each stem for the seven Cherokee clans. The wild Cherokee Rose grows along the route of the Trail of Tears into eastern Oklahoma today.

I have created this pattern in three different versions.

Goddess of Hunt Filet Loom Bracelet

Goddess of Hunt Filet Loom Bracelet Instant Access!
I was looking through my public domain magazines at the various filet crochet patterns to use for loomed bracelet patterns. I found this one from 1900.  I am very facinated with some of the designs that they had back then.

The pattern shows a hunter with a spear, the Goddess of the Hunt and a running deer.

Keeping in the style of filet crochet, I had created this with a solid purple background and the images are in white.  Of course, you can use colors that appeal to you.  I was creating this for a friend and her favorite color just happened to be purple.

Once you have your loomwork done, you will need to decide whether you want to add a clasp and make it a normal bracelet or put it on an aluminum cuff bracelet blank.  This would also make a wonderful bookmark.

I decided on the cuff bracelet blank.  I used Beth's Tutorial to make my bracelet and it was really a good tutorial.

If you make the bracelet, I gave you instructions on how to increase the size of the pattern to fit any size wrist you want.  You might want to put beads (ie, picot or brick stitch) around the outside edge to hide the warp threads on the sides.

This pattern has alphabetic characters for the bead color to make the word chart easier to read.

Cherries G2 Pen Wrap Instant Access!
I had a special request for a Cherries G-2 Pen Wrap. This is what I came up with. Two bright red cherries hanging from green stems. Isn't the pen wrap cute?

My Bead Angel, Ellen Roskopp, beaded up this pattern.
