I love the old-fashioned look of filigree crochet. Using clear delica beads, I was able to create a transparent/translucent look for a delicate votive candle wrap. Usually for a candle wrap I suggest using cotton thread to prevent melting. But for this project, I used a nylon thread to enhance the transparent effect. However, I would recommend burning tea lights in the votive holder to keep the thread from possibly melting.

I love the look of old-fashioned filligree cochet. To imitate the lood for this votive wrap, I have combined creme and clear delica beads. Using a nylong thread, I created a wrap that simulated the look of filligree crochet. But feel free to change the colors to compliment your decor.
Everybody needs a little luck now and then. And what could be more lucky than a tea light candle surrounded by a ring of 4-leaf clovers.
With the coming of winter, my thoughts drift to the sweet treats that the holiday season often brings. May these warm stripes wrap your candles and your holidays in warm memories.
June 14th is Flag Day in the USA. It celebrates the day that the Second Continental Congress authorized the USA to adopt a flag as a symbol of the new nation.
On Flag Day (and many other patriotic celebrations) citizens have an opportunity to show their patriotism by displaying the flag. This tea light cover gives you another way to show your patriotism.
It is done in Square Stitch and fits a standard tea light. I would not recommend working it on a loom, because I have not figured out a safe way to deal with the warp threads.
Please be sure to use cotton thread to stitch your project. A nylon thread may melt when you burn your tealight.
